First you had LeBron James mocking the Bryan Colangelo burner account apocalypse in front of a national audience before Game 2 of the NBA Finals, and now Blake Griffin, part-time dater of Kendall Jenner and part-time power forward for the Detroit Pistons, is clowning the ex-76ers GM.

Good thing the NBA made the Sixers fire Sam Hinkie and bring in Colangelo so they could avoid future embarrassment. Phew.

Griffin appeared on Monday’s episode of the Pardon My Take podcast and a discussion on potentially humiliating internet searches segued into PMT co-hosts Big Cat and PFT asking Griffin to give his opinion on Colangelo’s penchant for dabbling in social media and his love of big collars.

The transcript and audio are after the jump:

(The discussion begins around the 55-minute mark of the podcast)

Big Cat: Oooh….maybe it was someone looking for your burner accounts?

Blake Griffin: Oh gosh, they’ll never find those.

Big Cat: Let’s just go off on a tangent here. What would you do if your general manager, if it came out that he had burner accounts?

Griffin: I mean, it’s just the lamest thing ever, man. I just can’t wrap my head around creating a burner account and then tweeting about yourself. I’m sorry. Bryan Colangelo, five burner accounts, man?

Big Cat: Insane.

Griffin: And you’re tweeting stuff like, “Nice guy, I’ve worked with him.” I don’t care if it’s your wife or not, it’s just the lamest thing ever. I can’t wrap my head around it.

Big Cat: I don’t know. That’s how you get a grassroots movement. Everyone is like, man I’ve heard around, he’s a nice guy.

PFT: Wow, Eric Jr. makes some good points.

Griffin: You know, Phillyfan1234567 said that Colangelo is doing a really good job with the cap.

Big Cat: I really do think that it all stems from the collars. Because those collars were so bad that the burner account was created to defend his collars, and it snowballed from there. They got a little taste of the burner life, and then the next thing you know they’re leaking physicals and all that stuff.

Griffin: It’s understandable if you’ve seen those collars.

Is there any doubt on why the 76ers had to fire this idiot? Even if he didn’t do it, even if it was all his wife, he never would have gotten out of the shadow and the HUMILIATION of the situation. These players don’t respect him. Who would come to Philadelphia to play for this moron?

Keep those burner accounts anonymous, Coach Brown, at least until after free agency is finished.
