Big news. Bet365, the dominant player in UK betting, has reportedly inked a deal with the new Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City to power their online sportsbook.

The New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement, or the DGE, issued a letter approving the agreement between the two companies. The relationship has been approved until only July 31, which indicates that Bet365 has already applied for its ancillary gaming license which will allow it to potentially be the betting platform for Hard Rock in New Jersey.

This is a big deal as the likes of DraftKings, FanDuel – which will be called FanDuel Group after being bought out by Betfair – William Hill, 888sport and others have all moved to enter the NJ market. Bet365 would add yet another power player in the legal sports betting space.
