I haven’t watched any of the action leading up to this year’s Little League World Series, but I’m sure it has been and will continue to be loaded with plenty of slick grabs and big hits. Still, it’s going to be a tall order for any of them to top the moment given to us by Alfred Delia, better known as “Big Al,” of Middletown, NJ during his pregame television introduction early last week:

That’s star power. Delia became an instant internet sensation and made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live:

On Sunday, Delia met Phillies slugger Rhys Hoskins, who also, you guessed it, hits dingers:

Two studs just chilling at the park talking about hitting the long ball. No big deal. Big Al also hung out with some Mets players and caught the first pitch from 1998 Little League World Series hero Todd Frazier:

Not nearly as cool as hanging with Hoskins, but whatever.

Meanwhile, it’s actually a pretty big night for the Phillies in Williamsport. They can reclaim first-place in the National League East with a win over the Mets after the Rockies completed a four-game sweep of the Braves this afternoon. First pitch is at 7:10. Odubel Herrera, who apparently wore his own jersey on the team plane, appears ready:
