Ellis had been doing a little bit of everything at NBCSP after Breakfast on Broad was canceled. He anchored BOB for two years while co-hosting the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. slot alongside Harry Mayes at 97.5 the Fanatic, then ultimately left the station last July. Ellis originally started on the radio at 94 WIP and rejoined them a few months back.

NBC Sports Philadelphia has been completely rehauling the product over the past two years, jettisoning talent left and right. Marshall Harris, Jillian Mele, Molly Sullivan, Jess Camerato, and a half-dozen others have left the station recently.

We wrote about that last month in a lengthy story where former and current NBCSP employees lamented the station’s decision making and direction.
