Eytan Shander, who lost his job at 97.5 the Fanatic yesterday for criticizing management after originally being demoted, is back on the airwaves today.

He’s co-hosting with Mike Gill on 97.3 ESPN in South Jersey as we speak, which Shander had announced earlier in the day:

Eytan apparently worked for 97.3 back in the day, or at least that’s how he made it sound while speaking during the show open, which you can listen to after the jump:

Shander did not, however, discuss his departure from the Fanatic, at least not during the first 45 minutes of the show, which I listened to. I do appreciate Mike Gill’s show, because it’s pretty straightforward sports talk without the idiotic phone calls from people like Ingy and “Joe Schmoe” from South Philly.

Seriously.

I didn’t hear a single phone call in the amount of time I tuned in via the stream, which is what more stations need to do. Listener phone calls generally add nothing to a radio show, yet 97.5 Program Director Eric Johnson stated that he wanted MORE phone calls when he took the gig a while back.

Anyway, I really don’t blame Eytan for going off on Twitter yesterday.

Do you?

If your bosses told you you weren’t good enough and demoted you to weekends only, you’d probably be pretty much done with that job. You’d probably just bottle your frustration while collecting paychecks until you found a new gig, then you’d pull an Earl Thomas and flip ’em the bird while exiting the building.

If I was Eytan, I honestly would have gone a step further and left 97.5 like this:

Fuck you..

Fuck you..

Fuck you…

You’re cool!

And fuck you I’m out!
