What a night for JoJo.

The big-man posted one of the best games of his career with 41 points, 24 of them coming in the first half, along with 13 rebounds to help the Sixers beat the Clippers 122-113.

The Sixers were dominating the Clippers early on, leading by as much as 22 in the second quarter. But they saw that lead evaporate as the Clippers fought back in the third quarter to take a four-point lead.

Enter Markelle Fultz.

Fultz finished the night with 12 points, nine rebounds, and five assists but changed momentum when he subbed in late in the third quarter. It’s exactly what the team needs if they want to move forward as a legit contender in the Eastern Conference. They also might need Ben Simmons to take some more jumpers, which he did last night:

Also a good note, Wilson Chandler might be coming back soon. That’ll help the bench.

The Sixers have another back-to-back this weekend. They’ll host Detroit on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM, followed by a quick trip to Brooklyn to take on the Nets Sunday night at 6 PM.

Meanwhile, Kevin has more on the Sixers not picking up Furkan Korkmaz’s rookie option and what that means for the Bryan Colangelo drafts.

The Roundup:

The Flyers are going streaking! They continued their winning ways out west with a 5-2 win over the LA Kings last night.

Oskar Lindblom scored the eventual game-winner in the second period in the middle of the second period. Ivan Provorov, Wayne Simmonds, Claude Giroux, and Robert Hagg all scored in the win. Brian Elliott stopped 25 of 27 shots he faced.

Their west coast trip continues Saturday night when they take on the San Jose Sharks at 10:30 PM.

Meanwhile, could the Flyers land Maple Leafs forward William Nylander? There’s a chance, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

The interesting thing about this is they haven’t been a team that’s been mentioned a lot with Nylander, but they could do it. They have pieces that I think Toronto could like. We’ve mentioned Los Angeles, we’ve mentioned Minnesota, Carolina definitely — they’re all over the place there — but I really do believe that a stealth team that has what Toronto would want would be the Flyers.

That’d be a nice addition to the forwards group.
