Revenge game on Sunday.

Revenge for Sean Payton throwing the ball on 4th and six in the fourth quarter while the Saints were up by 31 points.

Malcolm Jenkins flipped off his former coach after that sequence, then downplayed it after the game, but other Eagles weren’t entirely enthused.

From NJ.com’s Zack Rosenblatt:

“We didn’t play well at all,” Eagles left tackle Jason Peters said. “They ran up the score. We wanted them again, we got them again.

“This time, hey, we coming,” the future Hall-of-Famer added. “It’s definitely not going to be the same outcome.”

Peters felt “disgusted”, he said.

Tight end Zach Ertz concurred.

“What happened in Week 11,” Ertz said, “was one of the most embarrassing, humbling games I’ve ever played in.”

Said Peters: “We’ll be ready this time.”

The Saints open as a two-score favorite against the Birds in the Superdome, where they haven’t lost a playoff game in 26 years.

New Orleans rested their starters in a week 17 loss, but after thrashing the Eagles in Louisiana, the offense leveled off a bit, scoring 31, 10, 28, 12, and 31 points during a stretch in which they went 4-1. That’s 22.4 points per game, which is down significantly from a season average of 31.5.

Throw on the underdog masks, play the disrespect card, study the Dallas film, and maybe the Eagles have a decent shot at avenging that horrific November loss.
