A rookie goaltender got a shutout last night in Philly. It wasn’t Carter Hart.

Jordan Binnington got his first career win and shutout as the Blues gave the Flyers their seventh straight loss in a 3-0 decision. Former Flyer Brayden Schenn scored the game-winner 41 seconds into the second period. Vladimir Tarasenko and David Perron also scored for St. Louis in the third.

After the game, if you were watching on a Scandinavian TV feed online, you could barely hear Jim Jackson and Keith Jones being critical of the team, notably Dale Weise and Jake Voracek. So yeah, this team is pretty damn bad.

But hey, at least Gritty is great! But it’s not enough to notice the poor product that’s on the ice. It’s been one of the worst seasons in team history. It won’t get easier as the Flyers are in Washington to take on the Capitals tonight at 7 PM on NBCSN. A national TV audience, that’s great.

Jori Lehtera will also be skipping his court date in Finland.
