With a revamped power play and a ton of scoring, the Flyers looked… okay!

James van Riemsdyk scored three goals (one an empty netter), while Nolan Patrick and Wayne Simmonds also tallied two as the Flyers beat the Wild 7-4 in South Philadelphia. It was JVR’s fourth career hat-trick and second of his career as a member of the Flyers.

With JVR’s accomplishment, Nolan Patrick’s night was overshadowed. Patrick scored two goals and added an assist to tie a career-high for points in a game.

Wayne Simmonds had two goals as well.

Up next for the Flyers is a home matchup against the Bruins on Wednesday. And while you wait, you can listen to the latest episode of Snow the Goalie featuring Dale Weise.

“I understand where I’m at,” Graham said, relishing being the center of attention in what could be his final official media appearance as an Eagle. “I ain’t going to be silly, I only have so many years I can do this but if it’s two million off from somebody else, obviously I’m going to stay where I’m at. I feel like people know me here, that’s what I mean when I say, ‘Is it worth going somewhere else? … I know I am happy here.”

The team worked out a few G-League wings.
