It’s been a while since we’ve had a good RADIO WARS post, because nothing is really happening. We haven’t had a “Dwayne from Swedesboro” moment in a long time.

The most recent movement was a few months ago over at 97.5 the Fanatic, where Marc Farzetta and Tra Thomas were installed on the morning show. Anthony Gargano was moved to middays, Harry Mayes left the station, and Eytan Shander got himself fired after his role was cut back.

Mayes and Shander have been bouncing around ever since. They started a new podcast called “Derailed,” which is just one of Eytan’s 15 gigs. Harry also teamed up with the dudes at Branded Sports.

Now the pair are returning to the airwaves with 97.3 down in South Jersey to do a Monday to Friday show from noon to 2 p.m. –

The show will follow Dan Le Batard’s national broadcast and lead into Mike Gill’s 2-6 slot.

Mike’s show is good, and I’m not just saying that because he’s a Mountaineer. It’s pretty straightforward sports talk without the listener phone calls, i.e. “John from Maple Shade” who thinks Manny Machado would not be a good fit in town because he doesn’t hustle to first base.

Time’s yours.
