North Philly native Kyle Lowry will play tonight.

He been dealing with a back injury but will be good to go when the Sixers host the Raptors at the Wells Fargo Center at 8 p.m. on national television.

Lowry recently sat down with Sixers play-by-play announcer Marc Zumoff to talk about his Philadelphia roots and the current iteration of his hometown team.

Said Lowry of the 2019 Sixers:

“I think Ben Simmons is an unbelievable super talent. We got into it whatever year that was, last year, but that doesn’t take away the fact that he’s freaking unbelievably good. Jimmy Butler’s a friend of mine, we Facetime, we talk. Then you got T.J. McConnell, (which is) random because I worked out with him a few times in the summer. He’s such a good kid and he wants it. I enjoy watching them play even though they’re in our division. I don’t cheer for them at all, but I’m happy the city has a reason to sell out the Wells Fargo.”

It’s a good pod. The Philly-specific stuff starts around 12:30 –
