The Super Bowl sucked.

New England won in a 13-3 snoozefest. That Sony Michel touchdown was the only snap inside either redzone. The halftime show sucked. The commercials were (probably) bad. I didn’t watch the commercials since the feed I was on at work only had the game.

And despite the Patriots winning, I didn’t really care. Cool, they won again. They still can’t beat Nick Foles. Thank God last year’s Super Bowl happened they way it did. I’d be a little pissed if the Birds won 13-3 last year.

Speaking of Nick Foles, it appears the team will pick up his $20 million option and try to trade him for a third-round pick. Perhaps the Jaguars could be his landing spot?

The Eagles also have some good odds per FanDuel Sportsbook to win Super Bowl LIV. And they’ve begun to prep for the offseason by clearing a ton of cap space with the return of Rodney McLeod.

So…

The Flyers are surprisingly one of the hotter teams in the NHL. With January’s Rookie of the Month in Carter Hart in goal, the team had four power play goals to help beat Edmonton 5-4 in overtime. Nolan Patrick scored the game-winner.

How has the winning streak helped the team? Look at where they sit in the Wild Card hunt.

The team can try to make it eight wins in a row tonight as they host the Vancouver Canucks at 8 PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia.

In more team news, their Stadium Series jerseys were officially released. I can deal with them.

After a big win over the Warriors Thursday night, the Sixers fell to the Sacramento Kings 115-108 to end their west coast swing. They finished with a 2-2 record.

Up next is a four-game home stand that begins Tuesday against the Toronto Raptors on TNT.

The trade deadline is Thursday at 3 PM. Brett Brown thinks the team will be aggressive. Maybe Nikola Mirotic?
