At least the Sixers can beat the Knicks!

After falling short again to the Celtics Tuesday night, the Sixers took care of New York, as expected, 126-111 at Madison Square Garden. The entire starting five scored at least 13 points, with Joel Embiid leading the way with 26 points and adding 14 rebounds. Tobias Harris was right behind with 25 points and Ben Simmons had 18.

The Knicks suck. We all knew that, and they haven’t won a home game since…probably Vietnam? That’s my best guess. Anyways, if you want to watch something from the game, it’s Embiid (who got fined $25,000 for his postgame comments Tuesday) nearly killing fans:

All-Star weekend is here, with the Sixers back in action next Thursday against Miami.

The Phillies signed a player… and it was one of their own. Aaron Nola got a four-year contract extension. Good for him.

Speaking of starting pitchers, Jake Arrieta had knee surgery prior to Spring Training.

Arrieta injured his left knee during an offseason weight-training workout, Kapler said. The manager labeled the surgery “just a meniscus cleanup” and said Arrieta has already thrown off the mound. The Phillies, because of scheduled off days, could get by with a four-man rotation until April 9.

“Arrieta is right on track to start,” Kapler said. “We may slow several guys down, and we might not come out with our five-man rotation at the start. But it’s not going to be due to injury. It’s going to be our progression plan.”

The Flyers don’t play again until Saturday with a back-to-back home-and-home with the Red Wings. Anthony thinks the team should sell at the trade deadline, despite their recent success. I agree.
