The Flyers are a better team now than they were a few months ago. The Wells Fargo Center is also undergoing a $250 million renovation.

Does that warrant a ticket price increase?

I guess it does. That new 4k kinetic scoreboard ain’t gonna pay for itself!

Scanning social media, it looks like there were various levels of increase across the board:

Via a season ticket holder, these are the new STH prices included in a Flyers email. Here’s the lower level, after the jump:

And here are the new prices for the upper level:

I’d need to see the previous year’s prices for an accurate comparison here. If you have ’em, send ’em to [email protected] and I’ll add it to the story.

For what it’s worth, the Flyers are re-branding their season ticket experience as something called “Inside Edge,” which is described as such:

“Inside Edge is the reimagined Flyers season ticket membership for the 2019-2020 season. With exclusive access, discounts, guarantees, and experiences, Flyers season ticket members get to reap the benefits meant only for insiders.”

Some notes on what that includes:

  • “Starting with the 2019-20 season, full season Inside Edge members will receive 20% off concessions, retail, parking, and Xfinity Live! purchases.”
  • “Members will receive the best seats, prices, and playoff tickets. Members will also have access to member-only concessions lanes at Wells Fargo Center and exclusive concert and special event presales.”
  • “For the first time, members will also be able to exchange their tickets online when they can’t make a game. Add this benefit to a dedicated service rep, one-of-a-kind member gifts, and fan-friendly payment options.”
  • “Best of all, members will have unparalleled access to the team you love through a series of carefully-crafted events that get up close with players, coaches, front office staff and Gritty!”

Gritty. He might be worth the price of admission alone.

Did your ticket prices go up? Holla.

Edit:

Couple of emails to the inbox. I’ve got one STH telling me their tickets went from “$8,815 per season to $11,190 or $260 for a pair per game.” They mentioned that the timing is rough because they just picked up a partial Phillies plan (aka the Bryce Harper effect).

Another person says their tickets were $100 each this year, but are increasing to $130 next season. They “cancelled their tickets instantly.”

Edit 2:

Here are the previous STH prices, courtesy of a very helpful CB reader:
