College basketball’s marquee conference tournaments are upon us, the big dance tips off next week, and we’re two weeks out from the return of meaningful baseball to Philadelphia. What a time to be a sports fan. What a time to be alive. What a time to bet on sports. And guess what? You can do exactly that at Valley Forge Race & Sportsbook, formerly Valley Forge Turf Club, starting Thursday morning when sports betting is expected to officially launch.

Testing dates at the location began yesterday afternoon and will be open to the public today from 5 p.m. through 9 p.m. this evening. If you stop, may I offer a suggestion: take St. John’s laying the points against DePaul. You’re welcome.

Valley Forge Race & Sportsbook will take bets on NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, MMA, boxing, college sports, golf, and tennis.

The launch marks Greenwood Racing Inc.’s third Pennsylvania sportsbook location, joining Parx Casino in Bensalem and South Philadelphia Race and Sportsbook located on Packer Avenue. Here’s Greenwood Racing’s VP of Interactive Gaming and Sports Matt Cullen via the company’s press release:

Greenwood Racing, Inc. is thrilled to launch sports betting in the heart of Montgomery County at Valley Forge Race & Sportsbook. We now offer sports betting and ultimate sports viewing in three different counties – and we aren’t done yet. While sports betting is open at Parx Casino® in a temporary sportsbook, stay tuned for information about the permanent $10M sportsbook to debut in the summer. Parx plans to continue to be an industry leader with this game-changing new facility.

The location will feature six tellers and 14 kiosks accepting bets. Check out its full operating schedule, after the jump.
