It’s been exactly one year since the Supreme Court’s decision that ruled the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) was unconstitutional, and DraftKings Sportsbook is celebrating the anniversary that kicked the advent of legal NJ sportsbooks into motion with “Free to Bet Day.”

Think of it like a birthday celebration, sort of, except there’s no cake or music—just free sports betting action at DraftKings Sportsbook.

In what DraftKings is calling an annual promotion, Free to Bet Day will feature $514,000 in total giveaways to users. Why? Because it’s May 14. 5/14. $514k. Follow? .

Here is DraftKings CEO Jason Robbins, per a company press release announcing this promo:

The Supreme Court’s decision led to a crucial period of rapid growth and development at DraftKings, including our first-to-market launch in New Jersey, but none of our success in this first year of legalized betting would have been possible without our incredible customers. Free to Bet Day is our way of saying “thank you” to all our customers who have helped make DraftKings an integral part of American sports history and innovation, and with their passion and support we could not be more hopeful for what the future holds.

Here’s how it works. Users will get a free $5.14 bet along with special odds boosts every hour throughout the day. And that’s not all. Up to 1,000 users will win a $51.40 free bet. 100 users will win $514 DK Dollars. 10 users will win $5,140 DK Dollars.

New users can also take advantage of DraftKings Sportsbook’s PGA Championship promo in which they are offering new users $20 in free bets (four $5 bets) when they make a deposit. Is there a catch? Not really, users just have to use the free bets on the PGA Championship, which includes futures or prop bets.
