If you thought the end of Game 4 was bad, Game 5 was…yikes!

Not only did Kawhi Leonard have yet another big game, but so did the likes of Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry, and Danny Green. Leonard finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds for another double-double, while Siakam scored a game-high 25 points, and Lowry and Green added 19 and 17 points respectively in a huge 125-89 win over the Sixers to push Philly on the brink of elimination. Toronto also added 12 steals on the night.

With everything going right with the Raptors, it’s the complete opposite with the Sixers. A disastrous performance from pretty much everybody on the team in the 36-point loss. Jimmy Butler, who led the Sixers with 22 points and seven assists, might have been their lone bright spot if there even is one.

Joel Embiid, who was probable with an “upper respiratory infection”, did play and sucked. 13 points, six rebounds, and eight turnovers which accounted for nearly half of the team’s 19 overall. And the criticism has begun to poor in from the likes of Colin Cowherd, Shaq, and Philly’s Marc Jackson, while Drake mocked Embiid and his airplane celebration from Game 3.

Game 6 is Thursday night back in Philly. It could also be the final game of the Sixers’ season. Embiid’s status is still up in the air but I will assume he’s still going to be a little sick. We’ll see.

While the Sixers sucked, the Phillies didn’t. It was the complete opposite of sucking as they crushed the Cardinals 11-1 in St. Louis. Bryce Harper highlighted the night with a grand slam homer in the 2nd inning that pushed the Phils to a six-run frame. He added a single and a walk as well. Rhys Hoskins also continued his hot streak, going 4-for-5 with a homer and a double.

On the other end, Aaron Nola had a vintage performance going six innings and giving up one run on three hits with seven strikeouts and a walk. That’s the Nola we want to see going forward.

The rubber match of the series is this afternoon at 1:15 PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia. Jerad Eickhoff will take the mound against Ryan Flaherty.

But the Phils will play tonight with heavy hearts as the team announced the passing of chairman David Montgomery after a five-year bout with cancer. He was 72.

Howie Roseman reiterates his desire to ink Carson Wentz to a long-term deal, which should be the case anyways. Meanwhile, Donovan McNabb elaborated on his Wentz comments from a couple of weeks ago.

In other sports news, A’s pitcher Mike Fiers threw his second career no-hitter, this time against the Reds.

Blues forward and St. Louis native Pat Maroon scored the double overtime goal against fellow St. Louis native and Stars goalie Ben Bishop to give the Blues a 2-1 win in Game 7 of their second round series to advance to the Western Conference Final. It was the third Game 7 to go to overtime in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Nuggets took care of the Trail Blazers to gain a 3-2 series lead in their semifinal matchup.
