Your Philadelphia Union remain tied atop Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference with seven games left to play.

That’s a “big f****** deal,” as Joe Biden once said, because the Union haven’t enjoyed a top-five finish since 2011, when Peter Nowak’s second-year squad ended the year in 3rd place on 48 points.

The team’s 2019 success has resulted in a shift in the Philadelphia sporting landscape, and in a recent conversation with head coach Jim Curtin on 97.5 the Fanatic, Anthony Gargano declared that Philly is now a 5 for 5 sports town.

Listen for yourself:

Gargano:

You know, it’s funny, because I created the ‘four for four,’ and when I did it was just more for, a euphemism for – and this was years ago when I was at the other station – but this was just a euphemism for ‘hometown.’ You guys didn’t even exist. It was a euphemism for ‘hometown.’ It’s amazing, it certainly is five for five now.

Sorry soccer haters.

The Cuz has passed judgment. Philadelphia is now a five for five town. This cannot be disputed.
