Here’s your FanDuel Sportsbook PA betting update for Wednesday, August 21.

The sports calendar is providing bettors with tons of great action to get in on at PA online sportsbooks. The Phillies look to finish off a two-game sweep of the defending World Series champion Red Sox tonight with Drew Smyly on the hill.

As for the Eagles, they will line up against the Baltimore Ravens in their final home preseason game tomorrow night before a final tune-up at MetLife Stadium against the Jets next week.

In years past, the third preseason game typically served as the primary dress rehearsal for Week 1, but Eagles head coach Doug Pederson seems content to play it safe by resting most of his starters. Expect to see plenty of Clayton Thorson in this one.

And finally, college football’s regular season action kicks off on Saturday night in Orlando with an in-state rivalry game between Miami and Florida. We’ll fill you in on all of the action in today’s update.

Surprisingly, Boston is only 33-33 at home this season, making them the fourth least profitable home team in baseball.

Ravens-Eagles Odds at FanDuel Sportsbook PA

    Spread     Money        Total

Eagles     +5  (-105)   +190   U 35.5 (-110)

Ravens-Eagles Trends to Know

The Eagles are a rare preseason home underdog. Dating back to the 2005 preseason, they have been a home dog in preseason action only once. It came in last year’s preseason finale against the Jets. The Eagles won that game outright.

As for the Ravens, they’ve only been a road favorite in the preseason six times dating back to the 2005 season. They are 3-3 ATS in those contests. Overall, they are 14-10-1 ATS under head coach John Harbaugh as a preseason favorite and they are 4-1 ATS when favored by more than 4.5 points.

It has been a mixed bag for bettors backing Pederson’s teams in the preseason. Overall, the Eagles are 8-6 both straight up and ATS under him in such games. They are also 5-2 SU and ATS at Lincoln Financial Field.

Seven of the Eagles’ preseason wins under Pederson have come by four or more points, including last week’s 24-10 win in Jacksonville.

Finally, the Eagles are 19-12 ATS at Lincoln Financial Field in the preseason dating back to 2005.

We’ll start with SEC’s dominance against the spread over ACC opponents in recent seasons. SEC squads are 40-31-2 against ACC underdogs dating back to January 2005, including an 11-6 mark since 2006 and a 5-2 ATS run last season.

Meanwhile, ACC squads that are an underdog between 7 to 10 points against an SEC opponent are 0-5 ATS dating back to the 2014 season and are 1-6 when that range expands to 7 to 13 points.

That’s good news for those of you looking to back the Gators.
