The second season of betting has arrived at NJ sportsbooks, and we have a whole slew of new and compelling apps for bettors in New Jersey.

While you may already have a favorite sports betting app or two, there are more options and more promotions than ever as operators compete to gain market share in what is quickly becoming a crowded New Jersey betting market.

So let’s take a look at some of the sportsbooks worth checking out for this first weekend of college football.

Our all-around favorite sportsbook remains DraftKings Sportsbook. They offer a ton of action and unique ways to play, like sportsbook pools, live betting, cashout, and an online casino in their app. It includes live dealers in a DraftKings-branded studio, with a sports theme. It modernizes the online casino experience.

DraftKings is currently offering a $200 first bet match to new users and an up to $500 deposit bonus to all players. You can sign up here.

But there a bunch of new and unique options worth checking out as well.

PointsBet

We love PointsBet. PointsBet launched at the end of last football season, so you may be unfamiliar with them.

An Australian company, they have some of if not the best tech in the industry. Their app is beautiful. It works well, and offers a ton of unique action not found at some of the bigger betting apps. Additionally, they offer something called pointsbetting (name intended), that allows you to win or lose a multiplier of your bet on over-under-type props. It’s a really fun, but also high-risk, high-reward way to bet, where you can wager a little bit of money and win or lose a lot.

They also have excellent customer service, some truly unique promos, and are known for their Karma Committee payouts on bad beats. They are an all-around excellent, user-friendly sportsbook that caters to both the casual bettor and the pro bettor, as they’ve stated they will accept up to $10,000 game day bets.

New users who deposit $50 will get $100 free when they sign up here.

William Hill

Next up is William Hill. William Hill is well known, as they brand a number of the physical sportsbooks in the legal betting space, and advertise heavily. However, their online offering was lacking last year, as the app felt a little stale, and tired, and didn’t offer a ton of live bets or prop bets.

That has all changed.

This month, Willam Hill released their all-new platform, and while it looks somewhat the same, it has been modernized, and has a renewed focus on prop bets. William Hill is one of the largest sportsbook brands in the world, and they have finally brought their app into modern times. Definitely worth checking out.

FOX Bet

Lastly, FOX Bet has launched in New Jersey. Previously BetStars, the app has been renamed FOX Bet thanks to a partnership with FOX Sports. The switch just occurred this weekend, and while there is no marketing push yet, you can expect to hear a lot about FOX Bet as we head into NFL season.

At a first glance, the site and app look better, more modern, and feature FOX personalities on the page. This is one of the apps to watch, and something you should certainly check out, as there will be a ton of football tie-ins as we head into the season.
