You’re having a great day, aren’t you? I know this because you can bet on NFL football tonight at FanDuel Sportsbook PA. It marks the first time you can legally bet on the NFL in Pennsylvania.

It will be the Packers and Bears taking the stage first in an important showdown that should go a long way in determining the eventual winner of the NFC North.

Green Bay’s Matt LaFleur makes his regular season coaching debut as he tries to lead the Packers back to the postseason after a two-year hiatus. Meanwhile, Chicago is hoping to build off a successful first season under head coach Matt Nagy in which the Bears won 12 games and a division title before being bounced (or twice doinked) by the Eagles in the NFC Wild Card round.

As if tonight’s NFL season opener wasn’t enough, there’s also a full slate of college games on tap tomorrow and Saturday before the Eagles (and the rest of the NFL) get after it Sunday and Monday.

Strap in.

Let’s take a look at the slate FanDuel Sportsbook is offering in PA.

Packers-Bears Trends to Know

You want to bet on Aaron Rodgers tonight…because of course you do. I mean, it’s Aaron Rodgers, but buyer beware.

The Packers only 6-9-1 ATS in Rodgers starts when an underdog of three points or less, and they’ve also struggled in prime-time both on the road and as an underdog. Green Bay is 3-9-1 ATS as a primetime underdog and 7-13-1 ATS in his prime-time road starts.

One last thing on Rodgers: Green Bay is 0-5 ATS in Rodgers’ September road starts as an underdog.

As for Mitch Trubisky, he’s been cash over the last two seasons. The Bears are 17-8-1 ATS when he plays. That record makes him the NFL’s most profitable against the spread QB during that time frame, he also happens to be a perfect 5-0 ATS in prime-time action.

Penn State Odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

Oddsmakers think Penn State should be headed for another blowout win at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night:

    Spread     Money        Total
Buffalo     +29.5 (-110)  OFF  O 56 (-110)
Penn State     -29.5  (-110)  OFF  U 56 (-110)

Will it happen?

Penn State-Buffalo Trends to Know

The Nittany Lions are now 22-12-2 ATS under James Franklin at home.

Since 2005, Big Ten teams are 14-9 ATS when favored between 24-30 points after scoring 40+ points in their previous game. They’re 5-2 ATS after scoring 50+ points when favored in that same range.

Eagles-Redskins Odds at FanDuel

    Spread     Money        Total
Redskins     +10 (-110)  +340   O 45 (-110)
Eagles     -10 (-110)  -420   U 45 (-110)

Eagles-Redskins Trends to Know

The Eagles are a HUGE favorite in this game, which is problematic for a few reasons:

  1. Since 1993, the largest Week 1 favorite is only 12-23 ATS.
  2. Since 2003, Week 1 favorites of nine or more points are 6-19 ATS.
  3. Since 2007, NFC East home teams favored in division games by nine or more points are 1-10-1 ATS.
