NFL Refs Had Another Shocker on Monday Night
Good game last night between the Lions and Packers, assuming you could get through the commercials, delays, penalty flags, and incorrect calls.
NFL refs had a howler last night, calling two “illegal use of the hands” penalties on Trey Flowers, both on third down, and both in the fourth quarter.
Here’s one, which was not hands to the face at all:

Interestingly enough, Flowers had played 239 quarters of football without a hands to the face penalty. Makes you wonder! There was also an unnecessary roughness call against Tracy Walker on a play where he was trying to play the ball but hit Geronimo Allison with his helmet.
Here’s the explanation on both of those situations:

Pretty bad. Outside of the Eagles this season, I’ve found the NFL somewhat difficult to watch. Surely I’m not the only person feeling this way.
