You may recall last season that NBC Sports Philadelphia did a trial run with a gambling-themed Sixers broadcast, hosted by Anthony Gargano, Marc Farzetta, and Brad Feinberg. The experiment started at the end of the regular season in April and was also used a bit during the playoffs.

That broadcast is coming back this season on a 10-game basis, according to Jeff Blumenthal at the Philadelphia Business Journal:

NBC Sports Philadelphia is bringing back its alternate, betting-focused broadcast of Philadelphia 76ers games.

Premiering during Wednesday night’s matchup with the New York Knicks, NBC Sports BetCast will air during 10 games throughout the 2019-2020 season on overflow station NBC Sports Philadelphia+, featuring a focus on betting odds and how the flow of the game impacts those lines.

This broadcast is also scheduled for:

  • December 2nd vs. Jazz
  • December 10th vs. Nuggets
  • December 13th vs. Pelicans
  • January 6th vs. Thunder
  • February 7th vs. Grizzlies
  • February 9th vs. Bulls
  • February 24th vs. Hawks
  • February 27th vs. Knicks
  • March 18th vs. Raptors

Similar to last year, Marc Zumoff, Alaa Abdelnaby, and Serena Winters will do the game broadcast on the main NBCSP channel.

Kyle weighed in on the show last season, explaining that he felt like the lack of on-screen numbers was an issue. That’s apparently something NBC has addressed, as Blumenthal continues:

This year the network is touting new, enhanced on-screen graphics focused on real time sports betting data that will be integrated in the program, complementing the hosts’ commentary and analysis. The remainder of the presentation will be identical to the primary game telecast, with the same video and camera angles.

There ya go. Tonight on NBCSP+ if you want to watch.
