Let’s get it back to box lacrosse.

The second Wings seasons (since their rebirth) begins on Saturday in Atlanta, and this year nine of the club’s 18 games will air locally on NBC Sports Philadelphia. According to a press release, Brian Smith will be on play by play while former Wings captain Scott Gabrielsen does color commentary and Devan Kaney reports from the sidelines.

Here’s the schedule of televised games:

  • Friday, January 10 vs. Vancouver Warriors / NBSCP
  • Sunday, January 19 vs. Rochester Knighthawks / NBCSP
  • Friday, January 24 vs. New York Riptide / NBCSP
  • Friday, January 31 vs. Georgia Swarm / NBCSP+
  • Saturday, February 22 vs. Saskatchewan Rush / NBCSP
  • Saturday, March 7 vs. New England Black Wolves / NBCSP+
  • Sunday, March 15 vs. New York Riptide / NBCSP
  • Saturday, March 28 vs. San Diego Seals / NBCSP+
  • Saturday, April 4 vs. Toronto Rock /NBCSP+

The remaining nine games will air on NLL TV, which is part of the Bleacher Report Live streaming service.

It makes sense for NBCSP to get as many Wings games as possible on television, since their Comcast overlords also own the lacrosse team. And now that the Soul have gone belly up, we gotta get on the Wings bandwagon and support our boys.
