Baseball Twitter is ablaze as we speak, with what appears to be new information on how deep the sign stealing scandal ran down in Houston.

The topic today is an alleged “buzzer” device that some players are accused of wearing, a device that would allow others to signal to them what pitches were coming. The catalyst tweet has since been deleted, but it comes from a person who claims that Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman wore these items:

That picture there shows Josh Reddick wearing what people believe to be the buzzer.

ESPN’s Marly Rivera said this about original tweeter @SO_blessed1:

The Beltrán family told me that this individual, who claims to be Carlos Beltrán’s “niece”, is not related to the family in any way. This person may or may not have additional information about the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing scandal, but they are not related to the Beltráns.

That individual also tweeted and deleted this:

People took that and ran with it, digging up video which appears to show Altuve not wanting to take his jersey off:

Wouldn’t want to reveal any alleged devices under there, right?

Here’s another one:

“I’m too shy. Last time they did that I got in trouble with my wife.”

Hmm…

The plot thickens! This is next-level bat shit crazy stuff if it’s proven true.
