Which image will you remember Eli Manning by?

Will it be ‘Eli face,’ on the left? Or will it be the two-time Super Bowl champion pictured on the right?

Eagles fans would probably go with the former, since Eli was a division rival who didn’t play very well against the Birds for whatever reason, despite ripping off two postseason runs that resulted in Super Bowl triumphs over the Patriots. He’ll finish his career with a 10-23 record against Philadelphia but went 8-4 in the playoffs, which included a pair of 4-0 title runs where he threw 15 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

Eli will make his retirement official at a press conference tomorrow, and here’s what owner John Mara had to say:

“For 16 seasons, Eli Manning defined what it is to be a New York Giant both on and off the field. Eli is our only two-time Super Bowl MVP and one of the very best players in our franchise’s history. He represented our franchise as a consummate professional with dignity and accountability. It meant something to Eli to be the Giants quarterback, and it meant even more to us. We are beyond grateful for his contributions to our organization and look forward to celebrating his induction into the Giants Ring of Honor in the near future.”

He’ll get himself into the Hall of Fame for his numbers and his pair of Super Bowl rings.

But Eagles fans can feel good knowing that he put up these regular season career splits against the Birds:

  • 10 wins
  • 21 losses
  • 59% completion rate
  • 54 touchdowns
  • 34 interceptions
  • 84.4 QB rating
  • 62 sacks
  • 258 passing yards per game
  • 16 fumbles, 5 lost

Manning also finished 0-2 against the Eagles in the playoffs, throwing for two touchdowns and three interceptions in those games, one of which was at home and the other on the road.

I’ll leave you with this as we honor Eli for his long and storied career:
