Let’s get it back to the Coronavirus.

It looks like we’re destined for more cancellations, or empty arenas, or whatever other precautions people can come up with:

The Flyers play home games tonight and Saturday, while the Sixers are at the Center on Wednesday and Saturday. The Phillies are still in Florida and the Union home opener is on Saturday, but takes place in Delco.

This news comes after the first case of Covid-19 was reported in Philly on Tuesday.

Writes Anna Orso at the Inquirer:

Commissioner of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health Thomas Farley said the city could not release further details about the person who tested positive, other than saying the person did expose others to the virus and the city is working to contact and quarantine those individuals.

City managing director Brian Abernathy said the city reached out to organizers of the St. Patrick’s Day parade and asked them to urge people to not attend in person and instead watch the parade on television.

Farley said the city does have the authority to cancel such events, but doesn’t believe that is appropriate at this time.

Alright, so we’re still on for the Sixers and Flyers, they’re just RECOMMENDING that we don’t go down there.

Perhaps it’s time to see if Kyle still has room for us in his Bucks County nuclear shelter.
