On Thursday night, the Sixers are on the road taking on the Sacramento Kings. At 37-25 the Sixers find themselves in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, three full games out of the fourth seed and homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs. While the Kings are technically just 3.5 games out of a playoff spot at 27-34, one has to assume they’ll be leapfrogged shortly by the surging Zion Williamson-led New Orleans Pelicans.

With that, let’s get into our Sixers-Kings betting preview.

Bets We Like With a Kings Win

Kings Win and Under 218.5 Total Points (+195, DraftKings)

FiveThirtyEight gives the Kings a 55% chance of winning with a -5.5 point line. The Sixers have lost their past nine games on the road. Without Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, it’s difficult to imagine the Sixers pulling this one out. In eight of the past nine games against the Atlantic Division, the Kings have seen the total points go under the threshold. The Kings have also gone under the total points in four of their last five games.

Bets We Like Independent of Outcome

Sixers Cover the Spread and Under 218.5 Total Points (+260, DraftKings)

In addition to the reasons above for taking the under, it’s worth noting that in the last 11 matchups between Sacramento and Philadelphia, the underdogs have covered the spread. The only thing realistically working against the Sixers covering the spread is the fact that they’ve done so at just a 44.4% clip this season.

Tobias Harris Over 23.5 Points (+150 FOX Bet)

Tobias Harris has posted 18, 25, 34, 11, and 25 points in his past five games. His scoring in the month of March is up a tick from 17.8 points in February to 21.5 points per game. The Sixers will need him to rebound from a woeful 14 point performance in the earlier matchup between the teams this season and it appears he could be poised to do so.

Shake Milton and Buddy Hield Over 2.5 Made 3-Point Field Goals Each (+275, FOX Bet)

The Buddy Hield part of this equation should be a sure thing as he’s gone 4-8 and 3-11 from downtown in the month of March, following a month in which he averaged 4 made three pointers on 8.6 attempts per game. Shake Milton is the part of the bet this hinges on. After shooting the lights out against the Clippers, going 7-9 from beyond the arc, Milton disappeared against the Lakers, converting just two of six 3-point attempts.

Sixers vs. Kings Prediction

Pick: This game should go under and I like the Kings to hand the Sixers their tenth straight loss on the road. I’d also get in on the Tobias Harris over 23.5 point prop.
