On Wednesday night, the Sixers play host to the Detroit Pistons. At 38-26 the Sixers find themselves in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, three full games out of the fourth seed and homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs. The Pistons have been an abject failure this season and enter tonight’s matchup at 20-45, just one game ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers for the worst record in the conference.

Bets We Like With a Sixers Win

FiveThirtyEight gives the Sixers an 87% chance of winning with a -11.5 point line.

Sixers Win and Over 211.5 Total Points (+117, DraftKings)

The Sixers have been borderline unstoppable at home this season and have won their past 14 games in the friendly confines of Wells Fargo Center. With Joel Embiid looking likely to return to this game, the Sixers are a virtual lock to win against a far inferior Pistons team. At -715, it’s going to cost you way more than it’s worth to take advantage. However, if you parlay a Sixers win with the total points going over, there’s better value at +117. Keep in mind that the Sixers have seen the total points go over the threshold in five consecutive games.

Bets We Like Independent of Outcome

Sixers Cover the Spread and Over 211.5 Total Points (+265, DraftKings)

For the same reasoning as above regarding taking the over, you could opt to go for the parlay including the Sixers to cover the spread, taking the game outcome out of the equation -not sure why you would, but you do you. Assuming Joel Embiid plays, this game could get ugly early and feature a motivated Embiid reasserting himself as one of the best players in the league.

Tobias Harris Over 24.5 Points (+200 FOX Bet)

Tobias Harris is in the midst of his highest-scoring month of the season, averaging 23.8 points per game in the month of March. Harris is coming off a 24 point road performance against the Golden State Warriors -which hit the over on a FOX Bet boost of o/u 23.5 points- and looks poised to hit the over at home. In two games against the Pistons this season, Harris has averaged 32.0 points per game.

Double Your Money! Sixers Score 76 or More Points (+100)

We have an entire post dedicated to this one, but it’s worth noting here in case you missed it. It’s practically free money.

Sixers vs. Pistons Prediction

Pick: Led by Joel Embiid, the Sixers absolutely rock the Pistons. Take the over, the Sixers to cover, the Sixers to win, and any combo of the three in a parlay. Of course, get in on the FOX Bet super boost of the Sixers scoring 76 or more points and consider the Tobias Harris boost.
