Dodgers vs. Astros last night, one of those games where you’re hoping that both teams find a way to lose.

Los Angeles won the game 5-2, but took home another W when reliever Joe Kelly threw a 96 mile-an-hour fastball behind Alex Bregman’s head in the sixth inning. Then he yawned.

A little later, he struck out Carlos Correa and made a pouty face in his direction before both benches cleared and a lot of stuff was yelled back and forth:

“Just get on the mound you little fucker!” is a nice touch to the broadcast.

Kelly wasn’t a member of the 2017 Dodgers, who lost to the Astros in the World Series. Houston were revealed to be trash can-banging, sign-stealing cheaters two years after lifting the trophy. Kelly was, however, on the Red Sox team that lost to the Astros earlier in that postseason and then beat them in the 2018 ALCS.

Anyway, good for Joe Kelly, who did what a lot of opposing pitchers probably wanted to do with the Astros lineup. It won’t be the last time those guys face some high heat in 2020.
