It wouldn’t be a football Monday without Brian Baldinger’s breakdowns.

This week he goes over the Ravens’ two-point conversion defense, then shows love to Jordan Mailata and Jason Kelce on the offensive line.

Clip #1:

The Eagles tried four two-point conversions and were successful on two passing plays but failed on two running plays. Baldy broke it down pretty well there. It’s man-to-man across the board with no safety help, which is why they have more available tacklers than blockers on the quarterback zone reads. The Eagles probably would have benefited greatly from taking a timeout on the final conversion attempt, which Doug suggested this morning on 94 WIP.

Clip #2:

This is where you’d like your QB to audible and just throw something to the corner, a little pick play or pylon toss or something along those lines. Again Baltimore just wins the numbers game at the line of scrimmage and the Eagles run right into it.

Clip #3:

Jordan Mailata is a massive human being. He’s ragdolling guys who are not small. Calais Campbell is not small. And that all-22 angle of the Chuck Clark tackle is awesome. Baldy’s right; Mailata is just a nasty people mover and he has a lot of potential to grow into the starting left tackle of the future. One of the few bright spots this season.

Clip #4:

I could watch Kelce block at the second level all day long. Nice to see him continue to play well while the rest of the team ends up on the world’s longest injury report.
