It’s a big one in the NFC East tonight between the Giants and Eagles, and there are plenty of ways to bet on the action in states such as Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Let’s jump right into our Eagles vs. Giants player prop picks.

The Eagles’ running game has produced outstanding numbers over its last two contests, but the output has been deceptive. A pair of 74-yard runs by Miles Sanders and a 40-yard scramble by Carson Wentz accounted for 188 of the 288 total yards, and Sanders is out this week with an injured knee.

So, naturally, I’m going to go against the recent trends here and tell you to put your faith behind a banged-up offensive line and two backup running backs for this week’s Eagles-Giants props picks.

Eagles-Giants Props: Boston Scott Over 71.5 Scrimmage Yards

Going over 71.5 combined rushing and receiving yards at DraftKings Sportsbook is a big ask of Scott, particularly when you consider that he has just 67 yards on 21 carries (3.2 ypc) this season. Still, this is one of my favorites props listed among the Eagles-Giants odds.

The Giants sport a solid defense, but it is a unit that has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. More specifically, it has allowed 36 receptions (eighth-most) and 303 receiving yards (sixth-most) to running backs through six weeks.

It’s nice to point at the 264 yards and four touchdowns Scott totaled against the Giants in two games last season, but that’s far less relevant than his usage down the stretch in 2019.

Over the final four weeks of the 2019 regular season — a stretch in which Miles Sanders was also active — Scott was targeted by Carson Wentz a total of 23 times. He hauled in every single one of those 23 targets. In fact, Scott averaged 49.8 receiving yards per game during that span, highlighted by a four-catch, 84-yard performance against the Giants in Week 17.

More recently, Scott totaled 11 touches (nine rushes, two receptions) with Sanders sidelined in the Eagles’ Week 1 loss at Washington, but I expect more volume tonight.

While I’m not as sold on Scott to eclipse the 49.5 rushing yards total at DraftKings, I do believe that with his expected activity in the passing game against a defense that has struggled with backs that he will go over the posted total.

Corey Clement Over 20.5 Rushing Yards

Clement has been an afterthought since his monster performance in Super Bowl 52, and while I’m not expecting anything similar to that effort tonight, I do think he will have an opportunity to eclipse 20.5 rushing yards. That’s why I’m on this particular prop.

This is a dangerous play in that Clement hasn’t touched the ball since the fourth quarter of the 49ers game and has only 11 carries this season. But six of those carries came in Week 1 with Sanders out. Scott isn’t built for 15-20 carries, and despite Clement’s lack of overall production and recent usage, there should be somewhere in the neighborhood of six to eight carries for him tonight.

Doug Pederson knows that he has to get his backup running backs going, and I suspect he will give Clement an opportunity in this spot. With a relatively modest 20.5 yard total on the board, I’m willing to give it a shot.
