Unibet Launches Eagles Themed Casino
Unibet and the Eagles have become the first sports-themed casino in the United States. Unibet PA, an official Eagles partner, has announced the launch of Eagles Blackjack, and coming soon, Eagles Slots, to its online casino app in Pennsylvania. This becomes the first time a major professional sports team in the United States has partnered with an online casino to allow them to use their brand in actual casino games.
Last year, Unibet struck an online casino partnership with the Eagles. They recently expanded that to include their online sportsbook. Professional sports teams, including those in Phillly, have been double-dipping, so to speak, with online gambling operators, striking deals as “casino partnerships” and “sportsbook partnerships,” and treating each of them differently. While the tie-ins to sports betting and sports teams are too obvious to even bother stating, online casino is a higher margin, bigger growth area for online gambling operators.
Many in the space see online sports betting as a gateway to the larger gambling ecosystem. Unibet’s ability to drive Eagles bettors and sports fans into other parts of their virtual casino will be a big deal.
The Eagles’ Blackjack game is currently live in the Unibet PA app.
