Well, it was fun while it lasted.

From the Birds:

Blessing in disguise, right? Nobody needs to see this slop in person. Now they can do something better with their time and money and we’re better off in the health and safety department.

It’s a win-win!

The new rules from the city stipulate that, starting Friday, indoor dining and school sports will be shut down again. Also affected are gyms, museums, libraries, youth centers, community centers, and the like. The restrictions will remain intact through the end of the year, so it looks like the Sixers and Flyers might be starting up in empty arenas come December and January.

More from Kennedy Rose at the Philadelphia Business Journal:

The city will also prohibit all indoor events and visits between households, including parties and holiday gatherings. New rules prohibit indoor gatherings of any size in any location, regardless of whether they’re public or private.

Outdoor events will be restricted to 10% occupancy, or 10 people per 1,000 square feet in spaces 2,000 square feet or larger. No food or beverages will be allowed to be served at outdoor events. The health commissioner previously expressed concern over large-scale outdoor holiday events like the Christmas Village, which routinely draws massive packed crowds to Center City.

Lol yeah, good luck enforcing a ban on Thanksgiving and Christmas. That should go over well. It should be a fun winter in Philadelphia.

Here’s the full list of protocols if you wanna read over it.
