Not great for Nick Foles and the Bears.

The Super Bowl champion quarterback was carted off the field Monday night in a 19-13 loss that dropped Chicago to 5-5 on the season.

Here’s the play that injured Foles, which took place with the Bears backed up into their own territory, chasing the game:

Mike Garafolo is reporting that the hip is not fractured and that further testing will be done. Sounds like he’s gonna be alright.

It’s been pretty sad watching Chicago unravel. They were 3-0 after Foles came in to replace Mitch Trubisky and lead the Bears to an improbable comeback win in Atlanta. They beat the Bucs and Panthers to go to 5-1 and are now on a four-game skid in which Nick has thrown for four touchdowns and four interceptions while cresting 20 points on just one occasion.

They had a chance last night, when he just barely missed Anthony Miller on a 4th down play that would have put Chicago in scoring position, down six, with just around two minutes on the clock. Missed opportunities seems to be the theme for the Bears’ offense, which is bolstered by the wasted efforts of one of the best defensive units in the NFL.

Here’s a sampling of how the locals feel about Foles right now:

It’s not a great offense. They’ve got Allen Robinson and that’s about it. The line is pretty stinky. Nick hasn’t been good, though. Hope he’s alright.
