The Ravens/Steelers charade will conclude today with a 3:40 p.m. game at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, despite a Coronavirus outbreak in the Baltimore camp that resulted in this game being moved from Thursday to Sunday, then Sunday to Tuesday, now Tuesday to Wednesday afternoon.

Baltimore does not have starting quarterback Lamar Jackson. They do not have their top two running backs in Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins. They do not have Mark Andrews, Willie Snead, Matthew Judon, Pernell McPhee, Calais Campbell, two centers, and their long snapper.

And then there was this, from ESPN:

The Ravens have arrived in Pittsburgh and Wednesday’s game is still on, but Baltimore had two more positive COVID-19 tests before departing Tuesday, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Sources told ESPN the positive tests belong to Ravens safety Geno Stone, a rookie seventh-round pick who has played two games this season, and an equipment manager.

The results are “not unexpected and not a concern for the game,” a source told Schefter.

It’s hard to fathom why this game is even being played at all. It’s even harder to fathom why Denver, San Francisco, and other depleted teams have been forced to play as scheduled, while the Ravens were given the benefit of pushing this game back six full days over three separate postponements.

But here we are. Wednesday afternoon football! And Champions League, too. This could be the best Wednesday afternoon sports slate we’ve had since… I have no idea.

By the way, this is the reason for the 3:40 p.m. start time:
