Let’s get it back to the Eagles coaching search.

They interviewed Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and liked him, according to Gunner:

Problem is, Smith has an offer to coach the Atlanta Falcons, according to Dianna Russini:

Is the Falcons job more or less desirable than the Eagles gig?

I’d say Falcons, and here’s why –

In Atlanta, nobody really gives a shit about the NFL. Actually, let me rephrase – they care, but it’s not priority #1 down there. When the Falcons are good, people are engaged, but otherwise it’s about SEC football or whatever other squad the transplants followed before moving to Georgia. So pressure-wise, Smith would be in a good situation.

RE: personnel, the Falcons pick 4th in April, so they could go for a quarterback and have him study for a year under Matt Ryan before the baton is passed. That’s not a bad situation for Smith to enter. The Falcons also need a GM and so he’d be working in lockstep with a similarly new dude. Plus, Drew Brees and Tom Brady won’t be around forever, so that division will open up soon.

In Philly, he’d have to figure out the Carson Wentz/Jalen Hurts thing, though Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie would be lording over him. Personally, I think I’d rather work for Arthur Blank and a new GM, instead of sliding into the Eagles’ situation.

You?
