Brady and Mahomes are building quite a rivalry in recent seasons. Two years ago, Brady outlasted Mahomes in a wild 43-40 regulars season win before leading the Patriots into Arrowhead Stadium and engineered a dramatic 37-31 overtime victory to advance to the Super Bowl. Of course, the Chiefs rebounded from that defeat with a championship run a season ago. Mahomes got the best of both ensuing head-to-head matchups with Brady in a 23-16 victory last season and a 27-24 victory in late November.

Here is the current betting line, odds, spread, and total for the Chiefs vs. Buccaneers Super Bowl 55 matchup on the PA online sports betting market as of April 24, 2024 5:59 PM.

Here is the current Chiefs vs. Buccaneers line.

Best Available Odds by Sportsbook

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Chiefs    -3 (-118)    -162  56 (-113)
Buccaneers    +3 (-103)    +143  56 (-108)

Spread

The Chiefs vs. Bucs line shows that Kansas City is a three-point favorite.

Despite a 16-2 SU record, the Chiefs are just 8-10 ATS. Their cover against the Bills was just their second in their last nine games, despite going 8-1 SU during that stretch. Tampa Bay is 11-8 ATS overall this season and 2-1 ATS in the postseason.

Moneyline

The Chiefs moneyline is priced at -166, while the Buccaneers are +140 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Aside from the Chiefs’ AFC Championship win, against the spread bettors have had a miserable time backing Andy Reid’s team in recent weeks as Kansas City, somehow, won a string of nine games despite failing to cover seven times. Moneyline bettors, however, have been rewarded as the Chiefs just keep winning.

As for Tampa Bay, the Bucs have won seven straight games since their Week 12 loss to the Chiefs. They have scored at least 30 points in six straight contests.

Total

The betting total for Super Bowl 55 is 56.5 points at DraftKings Sportsbook.

There was early movement with the Super Bowl betting total. In the moments following the Chiefs’ victory over the Bills, the number bounced from 57.5 to 57. By Monday morning, the number settled at 56 points. Heavy betting action will likely continue to cause fluctuation leading up to kickoff.

Notably, the “over” has cashed in 11 of 19 games featuring the Bucs this season. It has hit in 9 of 18 games featuring the Chiefs. Both conference title games reached the over.
