Jon Morosi says Brad Miller is heading back to Philly for a second stint:

The Phils needed a bench bat, so it makes sense. At 30 years old, Miller knocked in 25 runs for the Cardinals last year while adding seven dingers and nine extra-base hits. He had a .807 OPS.

You’ll remember him from the 2019 season in Philadelphia, when he joined mid-campaign from Cleveland. Miller was just bashing the cover off the baseball in September and hit 13 home runs with three multi-homer games. He famously brought that bamboo plant into the clubhouse when the Phillies were in the middle of a bad losing streak, then they immediately turned it around with a four-game sweep of the Mets to avoid falling below .500.

Good addition, Miller. Good bench bat. If the bamboo brings good luck, then lets fill the empty seats at Citizens Bank Park with the plant. Let’s scour the Delaware Valley for all of the bamboo and if we have any extra, we’ll feed it to the panda bears.
