It’s time.

The selection committee has done its job. The bracket is set. Now it’s up to you, the Philadelphia sports fan, to vote in Crossing Broad’s “Eagles Media Field of 64,” a fun and goofy idea that longtime reader Mike Missanelli says we stole from him… outright!

In round one, we’re going through the first 32 matchups, broken up by regional. Voting will take place over 48 hours, so share with your friends and family and let’s try to get the best turnout possible. Let’s energize the base with a grassroots effort, and make sure you stay in line if you get to the polls before they close, because they cannot send you home if you’re in line when the deadline passes.

Make sure to vote early, vote often, and then take a selfie with your “I voted!” sticker. Because your vote doesn’t count unless you do the obligatory photo after leaving the polls, then post it to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Without further ado, lets start begin with the –

Chris Gocong regional

This regional features the overall #1 seed, Ray Didinger. We’ve got a very interesting 6/11 matchup between Eliot Shorr-Parks and Mike Sielski, and perhaps the most disappointing thing is that the committed pitted Fran Duffy against Sheil Kapadia in the first round, which seems like a crime. How is it that one of these guys will not make it to the second round? We’re going to have to audit the selection process and respond to allegations of corruption and bias.

Vote here by selecting your choice then clicking “anonymous Word Press user.”

***And if you see an error message, don’t worry, your vote was still counted. It’s just a quirk that keeps the results from displaying when multiple people are voting at once. We’re working on a solution, and rest assured that the balloting is not rigged. No hanging chads.***

Reno Mahe regional

Zach Berman is a strong #1 seed, but don’t sleep on John, “Airport” Clark, who got the first interview with Doug Pederson, post-Eagles firing. Kyle even thought that Clark was under-seeded, if you can believe it.

There is also a fascinating generational battle between Seth Joyner and Benjamin Solak in this regional, and Ross Tucker and Brian Baldinger could be primed to pull off upsets as an eleven seed and ten seed, respectively. If Baldy wins, hopefully he’ll break it down on Twitter.

Izel Jenkins regional

Jeff McLane, who recently penned that deep dive on Howie Roseman, is the top seed in the Izel Jenkins regional, which honors the beloved cornerback known as “Toast.”

This is a veteran bracket, with ENTRENCHED reporters like Adam Caplan, Rob Maaddi, Dave Zangaro, and Les Bowen rounding out the top five. Don’t sleep on Jaws, however, who looks to shock the world with a 15/2 upset in the very first round.

Bobby Hoying regional

Last, but certainly not least, it’s the Bobby Hoying regional!

Tim McManus is a stout #1 seed in this part of the bracket, but will have to defeat Jessica Towne and Sam Wilson in round one. Should T Mac make it to the regional final, he will likely face Derrick Gunn, who continues to break news even though NBC Sports Philadelphia made the absolutely ridiculous decision to let go of him.

HOWEVER – D Gunn has stiff competition on his side of the bracket and is not a guarantee to make it through. This regional is murderer’s row. Just brutal.
