On Thursday night, the Philadelphia 76ers are on the road to take on the Milwaukee Bucks, with massive playoff implications in the balance.

Let’s take a closer look at the top Sixers vs. Bucks prop picks and make some predictions for this April 22, 2021 matchup.

Sixers vs. Bucks Player Props (April 22, 2021)

The Philadelphia 76ers enter play at 39-19, which is the best record in the Eastern Conference. Their hold on the top seed is on the line, however, as they’re just 0.5 games up on the Brooklyn Nets and 3.5 games ahead of their opponent on Thursday night. The Milwaukee Bucks are 35-22 this season and are a comfortable 3.5 games ahead of the New York Knicks for third place in an Eastern Conference that has plenty of parity beyond the top-three teams.

Philadelphia is 6-4 in their last ten games, but consecutive 107-96 and 116-113 home losses to the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns, respectively, have been disappointing in that they’ve prevented the Sixers from putting distances between themselves and the Nets. To Philadelphia’s credit, both of those losses came in contests in which point guard Ben Simmons and forward Tobias Harris have not played. Milwaukee, meanwhile, has gone 5-5 over their last 10 games overall with a 128-115 home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies standing as their most recent result.

Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo Both to Score 30+ Points (+325, BetMGM)

This is a two-player parlay with a ton of upside, featuring two of the league’s best players, including two-time reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and MVP contender Joel Embiid. Embiid has scored at least 36 points in four of his last five games, with the lone outlier coming in a 28-point performance on just 8-21 shooting from the field against the Golden State Warriors. The encouraging trend for Embiid is that he’s stepped up his game in a big way with Simmons and Harris out of the lineup, whether it’s shooting 3-5 from beyond the arc against the Suns, while getting double-digit attempts at the free throw line in four of his last five games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is coming off a 33-point effort against the Suns, which followed a 28-point effort against the Memphis Grizzlies. In four games he’s played in the month of April, Giannis is averaging 30.8 points per game in 30.6 minutes per game. In his lone game against the Sixers this season, Giannis put up 32 points to go with 15 rebounds.

If you’re looking for a two-player parlay independent of outcome, this one represents one with a really high upside.

Jrue Holiday to Score 15+ Points (-172, FanDuel Sportsbook)

Point guard Jrue Holiday was a fan favorite in his time playing in Philadelphia. In fact, every time his name had come up in trade rumors over the last few years, Sixers fans and media often attempted to craft hypothetical trades to bring back the versatile guard with defensive prowess. However, Holiday signed a multi-year deal to extend his tenure with the Bucks earlier this season and it’s paid dividends.

Holiday has scored at least 15 points in each of his last four games and in seven of nine games in April. Since March 4, Holiday has scored 15+ points in 16 of those 20 games. In ten career games against the Sixers, Holiday has averaged 19.6 points per game. If you’re looking for a solid bet with safe odds of hitting for a decent upside, this one is worth a look, especially if Ben Simmons is out of the lineup.

Joel Embiid to Record a Double Double (-275, FOX Bet)

Sixers franchise center Joel Embiid put together as good of a case as any player in the NBA earlier this season for the league’s MVP award. A bone bruise in his knee cost him roughly three weeks of the season, which appeared to have potentially cost him any chance of hoisting the highest individual trophy. However, Embiid has absolutely blazed a path forward since coming back from injury. Since returning from injury, Embiid has dropped at least 24 points in eight of his nine games. He’s posted impressive double doubles in five of his last six games, including a 38-point, 17-rebound performance on Wednesday night that came without Simmons and Harris.

In three meetings last season, Embiid went for 31 points and 11 rebounds in his first meeting with the Bucks on Christmas Day in 2019. He followed that up with a 19 point, 11 rebound performance on February 6 before a 17 point, 11 rebound performance on February 22.

All of this is to say, Embiid is as close to a double double lock as it gets in this one.
