Sometimes I feel like we’re beating a dead horse with the WIP Morning Show criticism, but you have to be impressed by the lengths they go to cater to the worst demographic of the Philadelphia sports community. The low information, uber-Negadelphia portion of the fan base.

Look at this abomination of a poll:

I voted “no” but 31% of idiots responded with “yes,” which is sad, but not surprising.

For what it’s worth, Embiid went for 39 points in Game 1, 40 points in Game 2, and 27 points in Game 3, so he did just fine playing through the pain in those outings, and no, nobody knows how much the knee is or is not bothering him.

Let’s check with the actual player himself, who said these things after the Game 4 loss:

  1. “There’s no excuses. I’ve got to be better.”
  2. “I can do better, I can always do better, but as far as being 100%, I don’t think that’s going to happen until the year is actually over. I just have to go out and manage it and deal with it.”
  3. “Even before I went back to the locker room, I just didn’t feel like I had it tonight. But you could see from the beginning of the game, it was tough, you could just tell. If I’m not dominating, especially defensively, it’s easy to tell.”

That’s pretty much it. It’s such a shitty poll. The guy is playing on a torn meniscus and everybody knows he’s not 100% and won’t be 100% for this playoff run. He put up big numbers early in the series and had a bad game last night. He gets a pass for everything he’s done up until this point, yet here comes WIP questioning something that nobody has any credibility speaking on. Literally the only people who can answer that poll with any kind of truthfulness are Joel Embiid and a couple of doctors.

Ban all sports talk radio polls forever.
