On Monday night, the Brooklyn Nets will play host to the Milwaukee Bucks for Game 2 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series.

Let’s take a closer look at the top Bucks vs. Nets Game 2 player prop picks and make some predictions for this June 7, 2021 NBA Playoffs matchup.

Bucks vs. Nets Game 2 Player Props (June 7, 2021)

The Brooklyn Nets will take to the Barclays Center court on Monday night without one of their dynamic trio as James Harden will miss the contest with hamstring tightness. Although the Nets were able to overcome his absence after tweaking the injury in Game 1, this could provide a much-needed opening for a Bucks team that simply cannot afford to fall behind two games to none.

Despite a 34-point, 11-rebound performance from reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks were unable to take advantage of a Nets team that lost superstar James Harden on his first drive of the game. Khris Middleton struggled mightily from the field, shooting just 6-23 for 13 points. Brook Lopez and Jrue Holiday picked up some of the slack, combining for 36 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists. Still, they’ll need plenty more from their bench in Game 2 after totaling 17 points.

The Nets’ duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving posted 29 and 25 points, respectively, in their Game 1 victory. Sharpshooter Joe Harris went 5-9 from beyond the arc en route to a 19-point evening. Blake Griffin rolled back the hands of time with an 18-point, 14-rebound performance, which was vital to Brooklyn’s effort.

Can the Nets take a strong 2-0 series lead or will the Bucks tie things up as they head to Milwaukee?

Kevin Durant to Record Over 47.5 Combined Points, Rebounds, and Assists (-113, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Although the Milwaukee Bucks have the two-time reigning league MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Brooklyn Nets arguably feature the most gifted player in this series. Kevin Durant has been sensational this postseason through six games, averaging 32 points per game, which is the fifth-most in the NBA Playoffs.

Durant’s 2.2 blocks per game are the second-most of any player this postseason, while his 7.8 rebounds per game lead the Nets. James Harden’s absence for Game 2 should create plenty of opportunities for Durant, as well as Kyrie Irving.

Durant is coming off a Game 1 performance in which he dropped 29 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists (42 total). However, it’s worth noting he went over 47.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists in two of his last four games. In three regular season contests against the Bucks, Durant crossed the threshold once with the other two contests totaling 45 and 47. Harden’s absence should solidify this market for those betting on Durant.

Brook Lopez to Record Over 19.5 Combined Points and Rebounds (-115, BetMGM)

Bucks center Brook Lopez was one of the biggest standout stars in his team’s closeout Game 4 against the Heat and followed it up with an even more efficient performance in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Lopez shot 8-11 from the field, en route to a 19-point performance. He also pulled down 5 rebounds and even dished out an assist in the victory.

When it comes to taking Lopez to cross the 19.5 combined points and rebounds threshold, it’s worth noting that he’s done so in three of five playoff games thus far this postseason. Prior to the playoffs, Lopez finished with at least 20 combined points and rebounds in four of his last five games to close out the regular season. If Lopez can continue his efficient shooting performances, he should approach the 19.5 line on scoring alone.

Joe Harris to Score 15+ Points (+102, FanDuel Sportsbook)

Sharpshooter Joe Harris figures to see an uptick in scoring opportunities with James Harden out of Monday night’s contest with hamstring tightness. In Game 1, Harris attempted the most field goals (11) since his Game 2 performance against the Miami Heat (14). In the series opener, Harris dropped 19 points, which was also the highest total since Game 2 of the first round series against Miami.

Thus far this postseason, Harris has only put up 15+ points twice, but the loss of James Harden for an unknown period of time is sure to affect head coach Steve Nash’s game plan. Given Harris’ shooting efficiency and the likelihood of an increase in field goal attempts, It stands to reason he’ll get to the 15 point threshold.
