Despite losing MVP finalist Joel Embiid to a torn meniscus, the Sixers were able to get the job done by a 17-point margin. In Game 5 of their first round series, sharpshooter Seth Curry went off for 30 points on 10-17 shooting from the field, including 3-6 from beyond the arc. Tobias Harris (28), Ben Simmons (19), Tyrese Maxey (13), Dwight Howard (12), and Furkan Korkmaz (10) all joined Curry in double figures.

The Atlanta Hawks wrapped up their series against the New York Knicks with a 14-point victory on Wednesday night. Guard Trae Young was electric, putting up 36 points to go with 9 assists and 4 rebounds in the win. Clint Capela, De’Andre Hunter, and John Collins combined for 42 points to support Young.

Will the Sixers defend their home court or will the Hawks pull off the upset?

Trae Young to Make 3+ Three-Point Field Goals (+150, FanDuel Sportsbook)

If there’s one player entering this series who’s seen his three-point field goal attempts rise as of late, it’s Atlanta’s Trae Young. After attempting just three shots from beyond the arc in Game 1 against the Knicks, he averaged 6.5 attempts over the next two contests before more than doubling his distance shots with 14 attempts in Game 4. While he came back down a bit in Game 5 with just 11 three-point field goal attempts, it’s still worth noting that he’s put up at least six attempts from beyond the arc in 11 of his last 14 games.

While Philadelphia has elite wing defenders in Ben Simmons, Danny Green, and Matisse Thybulle, Simmons could very well be called into small-ball five duty if Joel Embiid misses Game 1 as he recovers from a small tear in his meniscus. That could also shift Green to guarding a forward, allowing Young to switch onto the defensively-challenged Seth Curry.

Young hit at least 3 three-pointers in three of his last four games against the Knicks in the first round and did so in the first regular season meeting against the Sixers on January 11. If you’d rather take Young to make 2+ three-pointers, you can get in on that market at -220 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook.

Clint Capela to Record 13+ Rebounds (FOX Bet)

When it comes to extending possessions on the offensive end or snatching away opportunities on the defensive side of the ball, there might be no better rebounder in the NBA today than Atlanta’s Clint Capela. Capela averaged a career-high 14.3 rebounds per game in the regular season, which led the league by 0.8 over Utah’s Rudy Gobert. The Hawks big man has kept things going in the postseason, averaging 13.4 rebounds per game, which ranks second to only Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Capela was a terror on the boards against the New York Knicks, pulling down 15 games in each of the final two games of the first round series, and at least 13 boards in three of five contests. Going back to the regular season, Capela has secured at least 13 rebounds in five of his last eight games. As far as his success against the Sixers this season, he pulled down 11 rebounds in their first meeting, 8 in the second, and 15 in the final regular season contest. Keep in mind that each of those games featured MVP finalist Joel Embiid, whose status for Game 1 of this series is up in the air.
