Friday, June 11th was the target date to end all COVID-19 restrictions in Philadelphia, and that is indeed going to happen.

The city put out this press release on Wednesday evening:

I’m sure we’ll get official word from the Sixers, but this should confirm that we’re good to go with full capacity at the Wells Fargo Center and no masks. We recently went to 100% in the arena but face coverings were still mandatory, and now that’s going to be scrapped for the next home game, which will be Game 5 against the Hawks, next Wednesday, June 16th.

Beyond this, there’s not much else that would need to be changed to get us back to normal. There are lingering NBA protocols that affect how the seats are arranged near the court, and the media still has no in-person access while being relegated to an unused club box suite. That will probably all be taken care of by next season, and the arena will look like it did pre-pandemic.
