The Sixers’ disappointing Game 7 loss to the Hawks on Sunday night not only ended their season, it may have also ended Ben Simmons’ tenure in the city of Philadelphia.

Pretty much everybody has rightfully criticized Simmons for his tentative approach and offensive disappearing act against Atlanta. Many of those same people also believe the Sixers can and should part ways with the former number one overall pick.

No doubt, his future will be one of the primary talking points throughout what promises to be a long offseason, and now, bettors in select legal markets can even wager on where Simmons will play next season.

For instance, PointsBet is giving Illinois bettors odds on where Simmons will land in a potential trade:

The Blazers have the best odds at +250 with some NBA insiders recently suggesting a Simmons/CJ McCollum swap makes some sense.

The Wizards trail behind at +300 odds, though it’s hard to imagine what a potential deal between the two sides would look like. Perhaps Simmons and some draft pick compensation frees up Bradley Beal? Maybe?

Fine — probably not.

Currently, bettors in New Jersey and Pennsylvania cannot wager on Simmons trade odds.

This isn’t the first time legal online sportsbooks have offered odds this type of market. Earlier this year, NJ bettors could wager at FanDuel Sportsbook on which candidate would become the next head coach of the Eagles. Interestingly, Nick Sirianni, who eventually landed the job, wasn’t even on the board.

While Sirianni’s hire came as a surprise, it seems like nothing compared to the potential shock of Simmons lacing ’em up for the Sixers next season.
