The Eagles will look to exact some revenge and move back over .500 for the first time since the season’s opening week when they host the Giants at Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday. Entering as a huge favorite, the Eagles can take another step closer to an unexpected playoff berth and should have plenty of advantageous matchups. As such, we think there’s a few player props on the board that make for great value this week. Below, we will detail the picks.

Let’s take a look at our three favorite Giants vs. Eagles player props picks, complete with full betting analysis for this NFL Week 16 game.

Giants vs. Eagles Player Props

DeVonta Smith Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Eagles wide receivers ended a three-game scoring drought last week when Greg Ward hauled in a fourth quarter touchdown against Washington. We expect that streak to continue against a Giants defense allowing 66.7 percent of its touchdowns via the pass, the NFL’s sixth highest rate. As such, we expect star rookie receiver DeVonta Smith to be the player that does it.

Smith is on a four-game scoring drought of his own as the Philadelphia offense, first in the NFL in rushing yards per game, has leaned heavily upon the run game over the last two months. However, Smith still leads the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. His four receiving scores are also tied for the team lead.

Smith will be working against a Giants secondary that may have to send extra guys into the box in an attempt to slow the Eagles’ prolific run game, as New York allows the league’s seventh-most rushing yards per contest and was gashed for over 200 yards on the ground in the first head-to-head meeting. This would allow Smith to work against a unit that has conceded 16 touchdowns to wide receivers already this season.

The Giants kept Cowboys wideouts from scoring last week, but the Giants have not held receivers out of the end zone in consecutive weeks to this point. Plus, they have allowed multiple receivers to score in three of their last four road games.

Look for Smith to break through in a game the Eagles must win.

Dallas Goedert Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Part of the Giants’ struggles in keeping opponents out of the end zone in the passing game has centered around their inability to stop opposing tight ends in the red zone. Tight end have have scored six receiving touchdowns against the Giants this season, including a score in each of the team’s last two games.

Opposing tight ends have been targeted 8.43 times per game against the Giants, the league’s third highest rate. That has translated to 5.79 receptions per game, the NFL’s fifth highest mark. This bodes well for Dallas Goedert, as he owns all but one of Philadelphia’s receptions by a tight end since the middle of November. In fact, only one other rostered Eagles tight end has any catches this season (Jack Stoll has four).

As he did last week, expect Goedert to see plenty of action Sunday. He is already second on the team in receptions, targets, and receiving yards, and is tied with Smith for the team lead with four touchdown catches. He is coming off his season’s best game in terms of receptions, targets, and yards, earning his second straight game with over 100 yards receiving, while also establishing a new career best in receiving yards.

Goedert will be looking for some revenge here, too, after catching just one ball for 0 yards in the first meeting with New York.

The Eagles will undoubtedly want to ensure its star tight end is a far more integral part of the game plan this time around. Look for his number to be called often in the red zone as Jalen Hurts’ 10 rushing touchdowns will certainly draw attention.

Evan Engram Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Let’s throw the Giants a bone here.

The Eagles defense has struggled mightily against tight ends all season long, so if New York is going to find the end zone in this one, there’s a great chance it comes via its tight end group. And that group almost entirely consists of Evan Engram. Kyle Rudolph, the team’s other primary tight end selection and a viable red zone threat throughout his career, is listed as questionable to play with an ankle injury, being limited in practice as late as Thursday.

Notably, no other Giants tight end has even caught a ball since the last time these two teams met, when Chris Myarick had two catches, including a touchdown.

So, that should leave Engram largely in the clear to gobble up most of the tight end work against the Eagles. If Jonathan Gannon’s defense holds true to form, that is likely to be substantial. Philadelphia’s opponents target the tight end more than all but three other teams, and opposing tight ends catch the most balls per game against the Eagles of any team (6.57). As such, Philadelphia has allowed the second most yards per game to tight ends, with the position having scored 11 times through 14 games.

Engram’s season has been anything but dynamic, yet, he somehow has still managed to find himself as the Giants’ leader in receptions (40), while ranking second in targets (61), third in receiving yards (375), and tied for the team lead in touchdown catches with two scores. That’s clearly an unimpressive run of stats for a guy who has played 12 games, but given Philadelphia’s struggles against the position, Engram might just trip over a third touchdown anyway.

After all, he was targeted six times in the first meeting, his second highest total this season and the most passes thrown his way in his last seven outings.
