What a weekend from Kruker! The only thing wrong with this guy is we don’t get him for 162 games:

Him and T-Mac are so good at picking up little nuance from the crowd or relating something that happened in their personal life to the game. It seamlessly works while T-Mac sprinkles in play-by-play. I know the olds hate it when commentators have a personality and don’t just talk about what is going on on the field, but the majority watching appreciate these candid conversations. It humanizes them. Like Kruk being six seasons in on the call and still learning the ballpark:

I laughed the hardest at a baffled Kruk when his softball pitcher didn’t have the balls to throw at some 12 year old girl as payback:

I don’t know if the commissioner of the softball league watches the Phillies or if Kruk still coaches, but you gotta think there might be a suspension coming his way. What a rebuttal from Kruk to that ump:

“I’ll tell you what watch one get buried in her ribs next time she comes up.”

Are we still talking about softball or is this a conversation in the recess yard at Graterford? Someone has to police youth softball and John Kruk is happy to be the warden. Hand this guy a lifetime contract. If the Phillies start to go on a slide at least Kruk will be there to make us laugh.
