Editor’s note: an earlier version of this story used the phrase “weekday shits,” but OBVIOUSLY I meant to write “weekday shifts.” Put it in the typo hall of fame

From Jeff Blumenthal at the Philly Business Journal:

“NBC10 and sister station Telemundo62 have hired two meteorologists in the wake of the recent departures of Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz and Krystal Klei.

Michelle Rotella joins NBC10 and will work undetermined weekday shifts, while the bilingual Marvin Gomez will serve both NBC10 and Telemundo62 and primarily work weekends. Both come from AccuWeather in State College”

Let’s give a warm Philadelphia welcome to Ms. Rotella and Mr. Gomez. Just watch out for crotchety old radio hosts who like to complain about meteorologists. You may have to defend yourself at some point.

According to Blumenthal, Rotella has also worked in D.C., Harrisburg, and Charlotte. She’s a Florida State Seminole. Gomez was a Florida-based journo before going to Accuweather.
