UPDATED: RADIO WARS(?): Mike Missanelli Teases "Very Interesting New Show" Announcement Today
Kevin is out so I will take on the RADIO WARS bit this week. First off, is this technically RADIO WARS if the guy involved isn’t on the radio anymore? Or is it one of those issues where Mike will always be synonymous with the radio so he’s grandfathered into RADIO WARS forever? Kind of like a Hall of Famer who played for multiple teams, but he goes into Cooperstown as a Phillie.
Enough of my internal monologue. Mikey Miss, the OUTRIGHT leader in sports talk radio, is teasing an announcement today for a “very interesting new show.” No, he isn’t joining Crossing Broadcast…yet:
Be on the lookout for details on a very interesting new show being announced today…

What could it be? Is it a podcast? That’s not very interesting. Everyone has a podcast. Is it a cooking show? That could be it. Mike experimented with a cooking show on Cameo a couple months back. I bought a ticket (for research purposes). OR is it a heel turn? Is Mikey Miss going back to the station across the river? We got an interesting DM yesterday that Johnny Marks was a little coy about “one of our talents leaving,” hinting that Joe Giglio won’t be working the night shift for much longer. With Joe DeCamara being the odds on favorite to take over for Angelo Cataldi, maybe Jon Ritchie could be leaving? Could Mikey Miss and Giglio grab back midday supremacy? Probably not. But if we’re being honest the announcement is probably a podcast or cooking show. Or a cooking show while doing a podcast. I’d tune in (for research purposes).
Whatever it is, if he doesn’t name it “The Greatest Show Ever” it will be a huge missed opportunity for one last dig at 97.5 the Fanatic.
We’ll see. If Kevin’s not too tired from building that orphanage in the Dominican Republic maybe we’ll get some more information.
EDIT – Could Mikey Miss become the OUTRIGHT leader in YouTube? Rob Ellis tweeted out there is a “Big channel announcement” during the rundown for their show:
